Established in 2017, the HIFU Egypt Medical Center in Cairo, Egypt was designed to be a hub for treating different kinds of tumors using Haifu Medical’s non-invasive HIFU (high-intensity focused ultrasound) ablation technology. 

埃及HIFU中心成立于2017年，位于埃及首都开罗，将海扶医疗研发的无创的高强度聚焦超声（HIFU）消融技术用于不同类型肿瘤的治疗。

As of March, 2020, it has treated over 430 patients with benign (uterine fibroids and adenomyosis) and malignant tumors (liver, pancreas, bone tumors).

截止到2020年3月，埃及HIFU中心已治疗430余例良恶性肿瘤患者，适应症包括子宫肌瘤、子宫腺肌症、肝癌、胰腺癌、骨肿瘤。

The core members of this privately owned HIFU Center are four professors from Cairo University led by Prof. Mohamed Hamed, an interventional radiologist by training. It took the team 6 years on the search to identify HIFU technology developed by the Chinese team at Haifu Medical and Chongqing Medical University, China. In 2017, they introduced Haifu Medical’s Model JC Focused Ultrasound Tumor Therapeutic System and set up the first private HIFU center featuring noninvasive treatments for benign and malignant tumors. 

这家私立HIFU中心核心成员是四位开罗大学的教授，由其中一位介入放射科医生Mohamed Hamed教授担任中心主任。该团队花了6年时间，最终选定中国海扶医疗和重庆医科大学团队研发的HIFU技术作为中心特色；并于2017年，引进海扶医疗产品JC型聚焦超声肿瘤治疗系统，建立了首家以无创治疗良恶性肿瘤为特色的私立HIFU中心。
