The 10th AAGL International Congress on Minimally invasive Gynecological Surgery was held during June 5th-7th, 2014 in Barcelona, Spain. This is a important international congress on minimally invasive gynecology which was jointly sponsored by American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists and Spanish Society of gynaecology and obstetrics.

It’s the first time that Haifu Medical attended the AAGL congress. Many gynecologist visited Haifu’s booth and discussed with Haifu’s doctors about HIFU technology. A 60 minutes HIFU technology symposium was held by Haifu Medical, with 3 experienced HIFU doctors from Spain and Bulgaria gave presentations on the latest clinical applications of HIFU treatments.

 

In Haifu’s symposium, one doctor from the Hospital University Mutua de Terrassa, Barcelona, Spain gave a presentation about Long term efficacy and indications optimization of HIFU treatments for uterine fibroids. While another doctor from the same hospital give a speech about HIFU treatments of uterine fibroids and adenomyosis for patients with fertility desirability. A gynecologist from Bulgaria gave a presentation about Treatment of uterine fibroids using ultrasound guided HIFU in Pleven, Bulgaria- the effectiveness and the results in our clinical practice. Around 40 doctors from all over the world joined the discussion of the HIFU symposium.

During the congress, Mr. Franklin D. Loffer, the vice president of AAGL also visited Haifu’s booth and expressed his confidence about the future of HIFU technology in Minimally invasive Gynecology.
