On March 6, 2026, the 7th Global Multi-center Telecollaborative Surgery Initiative for Women's Health was successfully held at the HIFU Science & Technology Industrial Park in Chongqing, China. Under the theme “Compassion Across Borders, Innovation for Women's Health,” the event brought together global experts in focused ultrasound therapy to promote minimally invasive solutions for women's health.

Organized by the State Key Laboratory of Ultrasound in Medicine and Engineering, Chongqing Medical University, and supported by international medical organizations and 210 HIFU treatment centers worldwide, the initiative featured global remote surgery collaboration, live surgical demonstrations, and international case discussions.

During the event, experts highlighted the clinical value of High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) technology in preserving women’s organs and functions. As a Chinese-originated minimally invasive technology, HIFU enables precise treatment without incision, bleeding, or radiation exposure, helping patients preserve the uterus, breasts, and quality of life.

A key highlight was the global remote surgical collaboration supported by the Global Collaborative Service Center for Focused Ultrasound Surgery at Chongqing Haifu Hospital. Experts provided real-time surgical guidance to international medical centers, including Rajavithi Hospital in Thailand, demonstrating the power of digital healthcare collaboration across borders.

Today, Haifu systems have been applied in 37 countries and regions, with more than 360,000 patients treated worldwide, becoming an important contributor to global women's health.

The event also launched the  Health Science Popularization Initiative, aiming to improve public understanding of minimally invasive medicine and bring advanced healthcare knowledge to more communities.

Through continuous innovation, international collaboration, and public welfare efforts, Haifu remains committed to advancing minimally invasive medicine and enabling more women worldwide to access safer, organ-preserving treatment options.
