On 20 May, Valentin, Consul General of Uruguay Consulate in Chongqing, Gastón, Vice President of San José Provincial Hospital, and Mariana, Commissioner of Foreign Affairs Office of San José Province, Uruguay, and their delegation visited Chongqing Haifu Hospital.

In the Focused Ultrasound Treatment Room, the delegation observed the focused ultrasound ablation treatment for uterine fibroid. Professor Zhang Lian, president of the Chongqing Haifu Hospital, showed the patient's MRI and real-time dynamic treatment images to the visitors, and introduced that the patient had multiple fibroids and strong fertility desire, and the treatment was carried out under sedation and analgesia.

During the operation, Professor Zhang Lian asked the patient how she felt, and the patient said she had no obvious discomfort. Vice President Caston was deeply impressed by the treatment and said: this therapy was completely different from traditional surgery and laparoscopic treatment, and the treatment process was very relaxing for the medical staff and friendly to the patients.

After the visit, Vice President Caston said he expected to return to Haifu Hospital in the future for a deeper understanding of HIFU treatment.
