The Irish Ambassador to China - H.E. Ann Derwin and her delegation visited Haifu Medical on 29 July 2022.

Mr Jiang Gang, General Manager of Haifu Medical, introduced to Ambassador Derwin the industrialization achievements of Hifu Medical and the international application of focused ultrasound ablation surgery in the past 23 years, as well as the company's advocacy of "treatment - minimize harm to patients". "The company advocates the concept of minimally invasive treatment. When Ambassador Andevan saw the international users of HIFU on display at the Haifu Medical exhibition hall, he said with anticipation that he hoped Ireland would soon join the application of focused ultrasound.

Afterwards, Ambassador Dervin and his team observed a simulation demonstration of focused ultrasound treatment under the guidance of Prof Rosie Xing, Head of International Academics at Haifu Medical. The ambassador, who has a background in medical practice, was excited to learn about the original contributions made by the H team in the field of focused ultrasound ablation therapy and the global promotion of its application, asking, "Why is such an advanced technology not yet available to oncology patients in Ireland?" Ambassador Andevan was even more astonished to see that the South African Haifu minimally Invasive Treatment Centre was able to ablate tumours larger than 20cm in diameter, and praised the conformability, accuracy and effectiveness of the Haifu® device.

Ambassador Dervin said that medicine knows no borders and that patients all over the world should benefit from such an amazing device. She expressed her strong hope that both China and Ireland would strengthen their medical ties and exchanges, and introduce the advanced equipment of Chongqing Haifu Medical to the Irish medical system as soon as possible, so as to enhance the well-being of Irish people, especially female patients.
