Professor Ava Kwong of the University of Hong Kong revisited Jiangsu Provincial People's Hospital to explore a new path for non-invasive treatment of breast fibroadenoma
From January 13 to 16, Professor Ava Kwong, Clinical Professor of the Department of Medical Surgery of the University of Hong Kong and Director of Breast Surgery at Queen Mary Hospital of Hong Kong, led a team to visit the Breast Center of Jiangsu Provincial People's Hospital again to carry out a unique academic exchange and clinical practice exploration. This visit aims to discuss the application of ultrasound-guided high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) technology in treating breast fibroadenoma and to have an in-depth dialogue on the future academic cooperation between the two sides in the field of non-invasive treatment.
Professor Kwong and her team had a heated and fruitful discussion with experts from the Breast Center of Jiangsu Provincial People's Hospital and the State Key Laboratory of Ultrasound Medical Engineering, which not only deepened their understanding of the new path for the treatment of breast fibroadenoma but also outlined the framework for cooperation, laying a solid foundation for closer exchanges and cooperation in the future.

They not only had a comprehensive understanding of the whole process of the hospital from patient reception to postoperative management, but also visited the Haifu treatment room to observe the treatment process of five patients, and successfully implemented 12 cases of breast fibroadenoma by using the Haifu Knife Breast High Intensity Focused Ultrasound Ablation Treatment System (JCQ-B) under the careful guidance of the doctors in the hospital. Satisfactory therapeutic effects were achieved.

With the successful conclusion of the trip, Professor Kuang expressed his deep gratitude to the team of the Breast Center of Jiangsu Provincial People's Hospital. She emphasized that the training not only enabled her to master the cutting-edge clinical program and operational skills of focused ultrasound in the treatment of breast fibroadenoma but also provided strong theoretical and technical support for her to practice the concept of non-invasive treatment and pursue medical aesthetics. Professor Kwong revealed that after returning to Hong Kong, he would immediately start designing clinical trials to meet local needs and actively submit applications to the University of Hong Kong to promote this innovative therapy in Hong Kong as soon as possible and benefit more breast patients.
