New Concepts and Techniques in Surgical Treatment

From June 27 to 29, the Breast Center of Jiangsu Provincial People's Hospital held a series of academic seminars under the theme "New Concepts and Techniques in Surgical Treatment" at the Longjiang campus. The event brought together numerous clinical experts from the University of Oxford in the UK, the State key laboratory of ultrasound in medicine and engineering, the National Engineering Research Center of Ultrasound Medicine, and various regions across China. The symposium focused on discussing and exploring the research and application of high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) in the clinical treatment of breast conditions.

Professor Michael Douke, Royal College of Surgeons at Oxford University, delivered a talk on Career Development Pathways for Surgeons, and Professor Wang Shui, Director of Breast Center of our hospital, presented on Local Ablation Treatment of Breast Cancer. Professor Rosie Xing from the State Key Laboratory of Ultrasound in Medicine and Engineering, Chongqing Medical University, discussed on the Role of Academic Leadership Played in the International Application and Promotion of China's Original Non-Invasive Tumor Treatment Technology.

 Professor Wang Shui summarized that the advantages of minimally invasive treatment for breast diseases lie in its ability to minimize damage to normal breast tissue, reduce the risk of surgical complications, shorten patient recovery time, and, while ensuring treatment efficacy, meet patients' aesthetic requirements for the appearance of the treated area.
