On June 23, 2024, the International Minimally Invasive Surgery Conference (IMAS 2024) was successfully held in Dubai, UAE, drawing attention from gynecologists around the world. During the live surgery session, Dr. Lian Zhang, President of Chongqing Haifu Hospital, performed a non-invasive high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) ablation surgery on a patient with adenomyosis in Chongqing using the Haifu Knife® device.  Meanwhile, Professor Rajesh Devassy of the London Hospital in Dubai, UAE,  performed a minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery to treat adenomyosis. The two surgeries were simultaneously broadcasted to the conference venue, providing a stark comparison between the two treatment techniques.

Prof Mohamed Hamed, Head of HIFU Centre at Kasur Aini Hospital, Cairo University, Egypt, gave a lecture titled "Experience with HIFU in the Middle East",  discussing the application of HIFU in treating uterine fibroids, pancreatic cancer, and other diseases in the Middle East, and sharing related case studies.

Professor Rudy Leon De Wilde, founding president of the European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy, delivered a lecture on "HIFU Treatment for Adenomyosis Minimizes Surgical Injuries".  He introduced HIFU as a safe and feasible method for treating adenomyosis, highlighting its significant advantages in preserving fertility without increasing the risk of pelvic adhesions.
