On March 6, Professor Mustea, Head of Gynaecology Department of Bonn University Hospital, Germany, PGS.TS.Nguyªn thi xuyên, President of Vietnam General Medical Association (VGMA)and his team came and visited Haifu hospital.

In the morning, the delegation, led by Prof. Xing, International Academic Advisor of Haifu Hospital, visited Haifu Hospital and observed the surgical treatment of liver cancer and focused ultrasound treatment of uterine fibroids respectively.

In the afternoon seminar, Professor Zhang Lian, Secretary General of International Society of Minimally Invasive and non-invasive.  President of Chongqing Haifu Hospital, systematically introduced the therapeutic principle, indications, clinical application and expansion of focused ultrasound technology. He mentioned that focused ultrasound ablation technology has become a new choice and hope for more and more patients with benign and malignant tumours due to its advantages of organ preservation, function preservation, path invasiveness and one-time conformal treatment. Professor Zhang also introduced that Haifu Hospital has set up a global collaborative service centre for focused ultrasound ablation surgery and a clinical training centre, which provides training and guidance for the clinical application of HIFU for doctors around the world.

After the visiting, many experts expressed that they are very optimistic about the prospect of focused ultrasound ablation, and very much look forward to further in-depth cooperation with the ISMIVS and Haifu Hospital in the fields of clinical and scientific research, bringing this non-invasive treatment to the patients in their own countries.
