2016-02-05 11:48:00
Since the HIFU center in Suining Central Hospital has been founded, a number of professors from Britain, Germany, Switzerland, South Africa, Cuba, and etc have visited the center and studied High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) treatment for benign and malignant tumors.

At the beginning of 2016, a well-known Egyptian doctor, Mohamed Hamed, from Cairo University Kasr El Aini Hospital (the largest hospital in Middle East) started his novel journey in the HIFU Center of Suining Central Hospital. Dr. Hamed is well experienced in interventional therapies for liver tumors, lung tumors, bone tumors and other forms of cancers. He is a member of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe. Now he was coming to Suining to learn the hottest HIFU ablation therapy. During the entire January, Dr Hamed spent 1 month in Suining to study HIFU for benign and malignant tumors.

For this trip, he said he would spare no effort to study well, and use this miraculous technology to benefit Egyptian patients once he return to Cairo. He had opportunities to witness treatments, discuss with doctors, talk to patients, share his experience of cancer treatments to the entire hospital, and even have performed dozens of treatments by himself (under professional supervision). In addition, he experienced a lot of Chinese culture with his new friends in the nice quiet city.

The HIFU center of Suining Central Hospital was initiated since October of 2010, where more than 4200 patients with uterine fibroids and adenomyosis and cancers have been treated up till December of 2015. It is now the largest HIFU center in China.
