Co-organzied by the Physicians Roundtable (PRT) and Nordica Fertility Center, Nigeria’s First Fibroid Conference was held in Grandear Events Center, Lagos, Nigeria on February 21, 2020. It is the first time that ultrasound-guided High Intensity Focused Ultrasound technology was introduced to the doctors and patients in Nigeria. More than 150 medical doctors and patients with fibroids attended this conference. The attendees was amazed to know this new technology and hoped it would benefit the patients in Nigeria in the near future. 

In the session themed Latest Technological Advancement in the Treatment of Fibroids, Dr Raymond Setzen, Director of HIFU Centre at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in South Africa, delivered a keynote speech sharing his experience in the treatment of over 400 patients with fibroids using HIFU technology from Chongqing Haifu Medical Technology Co., Ltd.
